1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way hash — we never store your actual password). If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier and, optionally, your name and email.

Profile information: Handicap, home course, location, playing style, bio, and avatar — all optional and provided by you.

Content you create: Posts, comments, course reviews, round scores, and chat messages.

Usage data: We log basic server access for security and debugging. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking pixels.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Fairway Open service
• Display your profile to other golfers
• Run the matchmaking algorithm to suggest compatible playing partners
• Send push notifications you've opted into
• Enforce community guidelines and moderate content

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your profile information is visible to other Fairway Open users as part of the community. We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on servers hosted by Railway (railway.app) in the EU. Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2-SHA256 with 100,000 iterations. All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption. Uploaded media files are stored with randomised filenames.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data via your profile and settings
• Correct your information by editing your profile
• Delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete My Account
• Export your data by contacting us
• Withdraw consent for push notifications at any time

6. Data Deletion

When you delete your account, we permanently remove: your profile, posts, comments, likes, reviews, round history, chat messages, notifications, push subscriptions, and session data. This action is immediate and irreversible.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to keep you signed in (storing an authentication token). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

Fairway Open is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Fairway Open, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The Service

Fairway Open is a social platform for amateur golfers to find playing partners, share rounds, review courses, and organise fourballs. The service is provided by Grantive Design.

3. Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use Fairway Open.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or illegal
• Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Spam, advertise, or solicit without permission
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
• Use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the service
• Circumvent content moderation or safety features

5. Content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting, you grant Fairway Open a licence to display your content within the service. We may remove content that violates these terms or our community guidelines. Content is filtered for prohibited language automatically.

6. Community Guidelines

All users must follow our community guidelines, available within the app. Violations may result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination.

7. Moderation & Reporting

Users can report content and other users. Reports are reviewed and actioned at our discretion. Users can block other users to prevent communication.

8. Privacy

Your use of Fairway Open is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available in Settings.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon deletion, your data is permanently removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

Fairway Open is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to interactions with other users, course information accuracy, or service availability.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
